About Us

Two Oaks Lodge and Forest Retreat Center

Eastern Hungary’s first forest therapy center warmly welcomes its guests with an authentic forest atmosphere, relaxing silence, and an opportunity for digital detox.

We offer forest therapy walks and thematic workshops for our guests, all led by well-qualified guides.

Together with spiritually returning to nature and developing deeper connections surrounding it, our programs aim to decrease the mental tension created due to negative effects of modern world

(technology, isolations, feelings of overload from the pandemic, anxiety)

We all struggle with the pressure of social expectations imposed on us by modern lifestyle, technological achievements and social media, as well as with the negative experiences of loneliness, isolation, lack of motivation, anxiety and other functional disorders that can be perceived in our environment.

The problem is global, proven, and perhaps the biggest challenge of the 21st century. The phenomenon has been known to American scientists since 2005, and the set of symptoms was defined as ” Nature Deficit Disorder ”.

  • We would like to help those, who feel as if they are unable to find their personal, or work-based motivation, spiritual belonging, or those who are exposed to an increased stress load due to the epidemiological situation of recent years

  • We would like to support families where the children have distanced themselves from the natural environment, or they haven’t yet been able to develop a closer connection to it, and as a result, they do not have the opportunity to profit from the strength and positive energy of nature.

  • We would like to integrate a new approach into our guests’ way of thinking and general lifestyle, centering around taking advantage of the opportunities found at an arm’s length in nature, with the use of scientific research and traditional therapy.

With the assembly of the center’s programs, we show our visitors a path to developing a more balanced mental and spiritual state and overall lifestyle, with which we can raise a healthier, more environmentally conscious next generation, including all the short- and long-term positive physiological and economic effects from our programs.

Our offered theoretical programs cover current issues of the modern world, including habitats and preservation of biodiversity, climate change, nutrition and coexistence with nature, spiritual balance, natural forces and their cycle in relation to humans, and sustainable living.

In regard to our practical programs, we offer guided forest therapy sessions, Nature-coaching training, meditation, yoga, breathing exercises, and many other immersive experiences.

For the continued operation of the Center, we are searching for socially responsible partners.
